DHA residents are allowed to book vacant plots for holding functions after paying the laid down charges. Holding functions in open plot without prior payment of dues or without seeking permission is violation of DHA rules. However in case of holding some mourning ceremonies like “Qul Khawani” etc in the nearby plot, there are no charges but prior permission is essential. Procedure For holding function in the open plots, residents are required not to disturb the neighbors by adhering to the following procedures:- a) Do not install decoration lights on roadside beyond the vacant plot. b) Shamiana / kanat pitched in the plot should not block traffic. c) Loading/unloading of crockery/cutlery/degcha etc should be done in day light hours to avoid disturbance to neighbors. d) No parking on or along roadside. Proper parking to be arranged in vacant plot. e) Winding up of catering equipment at night disturbs the neghbours which is not allowed. It should be done next morning latest by 1000 hours. f) Cleaning of garbage and plot after the function is to be done by DHA Services g) Company. Fireworks, Loud music, “Marassies” and Bands are not allowed in DHA, however light music on DJ/Sound System within the function premises is allowed. h) Function must culminate by midnight. All facilities under one roof Marriage lawn – G Block Phase-5 DHA Services Company has also developed a new Marriage lawn in ‘G’ Block Phase-5.
